I have been using this book for several years, and the latest edition knocks it out of the park. Deeply grounded in the science but practical enough for everyday use! I especially like the tabs to search around the book easily as well as the symbols to know what is recommended for what groups and formats. Highly recommend!!

The Regulated Classroom Guidebook is an amazing resource for all educators. I have just finished Emily's train the trainer course and will be training my entire prek-12 district in this framework. The guidebook is written in an easy to read format with just the right amount of science and strategies that anyone can take back to their classroom and implement the next day. This is exactly what we have been looking for in our district!

This book is truly a must read for not only SPED teachers, but for regular education teachers and all school district leaders as well. I appreciate how the complexities of neuroscience were organized and explained in understandable ways. I also love how practical strategies were shared!

This program and guidebook has been revolutionary in my classroom. Our school is full of perpetually dysregulated children, and being able to teach them how to name what they’re feeling, scan their bodies and ask themselves “What do I need?”, and being able to teach them how to use calming or activating strategies has been incredibly helpful and effective. They really like it, too, and love the connector activities.
I’m so grateful that this resource exists.
